As usual, we will continue to send emails throughout the summer, but we will also update this page with new information as it becomes available. All Hun students are required to have an iPad or MacBook; iPads are recommended. See more information about our iPad requirements. For new students, we recommend optimally a 10.5 inch iPad Air or 11 inch iPad Pro with 256GB capacity or at minimum an iPad with 128GB of memory and WiFi connectivity as the base requirement.

Select the RSS icon in the upper right corner of the calendar grid to choose which calendar you would like to subscribe to. Fall arrival and start dates are now confirmed.
Updated class schedules along with Academic Team assignments were distributed on August 7th. Schedule changes can begin August 24th by contacting the appropriate grade level dean. For questions, please contact your grade level dean or Registrar Bruce Hayden.
One essential aspect of the blended learning model is to maintain the important social relationships that are core to The Hun School experience. Accordingly, we will be creating multiple opportunities for community engagement that will be published each week in categories that range from athletics and arts to wellness and service. Students will be required to participate either in-person or via Zoom in 5 of these activities in the fall semester in order to earn our Thrive Community Life point requirement. More detail on this and the many options that will will be offered to students will be made available during our orientation activities in the first week of school.
The Upper School day begins at 8:25 a.m. and ends at 3:05 p.m. Extra Help is available at 8:00 a.m. and 3:05 p.m. Co-curricular opportunities like athletics, academic teams, and performing arts, take place after 3:35 p.m. Grab-and-Go breakfast will be available in the global Commons beginning at 7:30 a.m. Breakfast and dinner for boarders will be served at staggered times in the dining hall.
The Upper School Blended Learning Schedule is designed to maintain the diversity and flexibility of our traditional course offerings while prioritizing academic time and the flexibility of community events. You can see and download the detailed Blended Learning schedule here and will note that, while we have maintained our traditional 8-day rotation, each student will be assigned to one of two Academic Teams who will alternate days on campus.
Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center will conduct on campus health screenings every morning for all community members beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Grade Level Deans work together throughout the year on advisory and assembly programming and individual advisement. By working with various constituencies across campus we ensure a universal system of support for your student. GLDs are also available for support and questions.
Please access and review this updated Upper School Handbook for Students and Parents. The book contains important information about attendance and academic policies, graduation requirements, grades and reports, and Resident Life policies for boarding students with a handy table of contents to help you find answers to questions about general school life and expectations. Because of the unusual nature of this year’s Blended Learning protocol, a special addendum to the Upper School Handbook that outlines the Good Faith Agreement for Health and Safety is forthcoming. Parents and students will be asked to sign this agreement digitally so please watch for that communication prior to the start of school.
Required school and state health forms are available in your Hun School Health Portal, operated by Magnus Health, and are due August 1 st . Please note, however, that with the evolving state of public health, it is likely that additional health forms will be required prior to an on campus arrival, classes, or activities. We will notify you if and when additional requirements are added.
RaiderNet is The Hun School’s intranet. It houses information portals for students, faculty, and staff, as well as the School’s Learning Management System and class pages. New parents' existing login credentials will provide access beginning July 10, once the previous academic year rolls over. New students will receive login credentials via email shortly thereafter. All Upper School students have a summer reading assignment for their English class. Those who qualify and have chosen to challenge themselves with the AP workload should be sure to complete the required AP assignments listed to ensure continued enrollment in the given course. Please check the Summer Reading and AP Requirements to be sure you understand any expectations prior to the start of classes.

Students who will drive themselves to School must register to do so.
The Hun School will implement a temporarily relaxed dress code between September 2020 and June 2021. It is our hope that this will aid in our students’ comfort; their ability to transition easily between classes and activities without the need to change; and launder clothing items frequently. Virtual or at home dress is casual, but should not include sleepwear or carry inappropriate language or references. A more thorough review of the School's overall dress code with an eye toward inclusivity and accessibility will take place this fall.
