CAC reader no longer working after update

Updated my Mac to Monterey 12.3.1 and now I can't access any mil websites that are CAC enabled. Prior to the update I didn't need to download any certs from the CAC website it honestly just worked by plugging in my reader and selecting my normal certs to work. NOW I can't even get the webpages to load or the certs to pop up.. if they do it takes a good 5-10 min just for the prompt to display and then ultimately fail. Does anyone know if a fix?

MacBook Air asking for CAC pin even when I don't have the CAC reader connected/CAC inserted Subject line sums it up well. I sometimes use a CAC reader with CAC on my MacBook Air (M1, 2020) to access my secure work website (military). But sometimes, even when my CAC reader isn't connected, and when I open up my Mac to login, it asks for my PIN (associated with my CAC reader/CAC card), and won't let me log on unless I plug in my CAC reader, insert my CAC card, and put in the pin. This is a pain for obvious reasons. Anyone else encounter this problem? Any fixes? I have no problem with the Mac asking for my pin when my CAC reader and CAC are actively connected, but it makes no sense for it to require my pin when I'm not even using the CAC reader. Thanks!

macOS Catalina disabled CAC reader capabilities Hello, I updated to 10.15.14 last weekend and now cannot access sites requiring military CAC credentials. The smart card reader is working since the green light turns on when I plug in my CAC but I get "No DoD certificate was presented" when accessing a military site. Any troubleshooting steps? Thank you!

MacOS 10.15.7 no longer pairs CAC PIV? I was able to use my CAC/PIV on MacOS 10.15.6 through the entire "telework due to COVID-19" period (for me, that was from mid-March through a couple of weeks ago). I started back in the office, and hadn't needed to telework for a couple of weeks. In those two weeks, MacOS updated from 10.15.6 to 10.15.7. Today, we were told to stay home because someone near our office space tested positive for COVID-19, so I stuck my CAC card in the CAC reader and. nothing. It no longer works. I've reloaded all certificates, checked to see if the CAC reader itself is still recognized (it is - model SCR-3310), but nothing. Tried re-pairing the card using: "sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.security.smartcard DisabledTokens -array && sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.security.smartcard EnabledTokens -array com.apple.CryptoTokenKit.pivtoken" which worked under 10.15.5 and 10.15.6, but now appears not to work. (sc_auth list shows nothing). My CAC is no longer paired and I cannot log into any DoD PKI-enabled website. I verified all required DoD certificates are installed and trusted, but I get nothing. The CAC reader light blinks when I insert the card, then stops, and. sigh. Help?
